Goods train derails in Odisha; Train services hit

Gurudighatia (Cuttack), Feb 5:

Train services were disrupted on the Talcher route after three wagons of a goods train derailed at Sauria level crossing near Gurudijhatia railway station near Athgarh in Odisha’s Cuttack district this morning.

derailed good trainAccording to reports, a goods train was on the way to Paradip from Talcher when two wagons and the goods car cabin derailed at Sauria level crossing at about 7.30 AM.

However, the guard inside the goods car cabin had a providential escape.

Following information, senior officials of East Coast Railway (ECoR) rushed to the spot. Efforts are on to remove the derailed wagons from the track.
