Bhubaneswar: The state government has appointed Housing and Urban Development (H&UD) Minister as the chairman of all development authorities in Odisha.

The government has appointed H&UD Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra as the chairman of all nine development authorities in the state by exercising the powers conferred upon it by the Odisha Development Authorities Act, 1982.

The H&UD Department issued a notification in this regard yesterday.

As per the notification, the H&UD Minister has been appointed as the chairman of Bhubaneswar Development Authorities (BDA), Cuttack Development Authority (CDA), Berhampur Development Authority, Sambalpur Development Authority, Rourkela Development Authority, Puri-Konark Development Authority, Paradeep Development Authority, Kalinga Nagar Development Authority and Talcher-Angul-Meramandali Development Authority with immediate effect.
