Govt restructures Ayurvedic, Homeopathic Service cadres in Odisha

The state government also revises the pay structures of the two cadres

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to restructure the Ayurvedic Medical Service and Homeopathic Medical Service cadres in the state and revise their pay structures.

The Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) department issued a notification in this regard today.

As per the nonfiction, the state government has decided to abolish 228 posts of Ayurvedic Medical Officer (AMO) of the total 690 in the pay scale of Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42, 400 in Odisha.

The government will create 228 posts of Senior AMO in the pay scale of Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500 under ORSP rules, 2017.

In addition to the existing 20 posts of District Ayurvedic Medical Officer/ Deputy Superintendents/Superintendents, 15 additional posts of DAMO in the pay scale of Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77, 500 in the state, said the notification.

The state government will create one more post of Deputy Director (Ayurveda) in the pay scale of Rs 67,700 to Rs 2,08, 700 in Odisha. At present, there is one such post for the entire state.

Besides, there shall be the creation of a Joint Director (Ayurveda) post in the pay scale of Rs 78,800 to Rs 2,09,200 in Odisha. With this restructuring the total cadre strength of Odisha Ayurvedic Medical Service will be 728, added the notification.

Similarly, the state government will abolish 196 posts of Homeopathic Medical Officer (HMO) of the total 595 in the pay scale of Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42,400 in Odisha.

The government will create 196 posts of Senior HMO in the pay scale of Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500 in the state.

Similarly, there will be 15 more posts of District Homeopathic Medical Officer/Deputy Superintendent/ CMO in the pay scale of Rs 67,700 to Rs 2,08, 700 in Odisha. At present, there are 17 such posts in the state.

The government will create one more post of Deputy Director (Homeopathy) in the pay scale of Rs 67,700 to Rs 2,08,700, said the notification.

Similarly, there will be a post of Joint Director (Homeopathy) in the pay scale of Rs 78,800 to Rs Rs 2,09, 200 in Odisha, added the notification.

With this restructuring, the cadre strength of Homeopathic Medical Service will reach 630.
