Group clash during Holi celebration in Bhubaneswar; 8 injured

Bhubaneswar: As many as eight youth were injured after a group clash broke out at a residential colony at Baramunda area during Holi celebration here today.

According to reports, the group clash erupted after around 15-20 youth attacked a group of youth with weapons while they were playing Holi at Baramunda Housing Board Colony.

Locals said that a group of youth damaged car parked at the area and attacked another group with beer bottles and stones uttering slang words.

They also ransacked a hotel and police van.

The attackers had fled from the area before the police reached the spot.

Although the exact reason is unclear, the locals suspected ‘past enmity’ behind the incident.
