With one after another allegations surfacing against Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal leaders over their involvement in a number of scams and their links with scamsters, two of its senior leaders today broke ranks and said that more and more people are getting dissatisfied with the government.

“It is going to affect party prospects, if allegations come up against party workers, leaders and ministers and they are not addressed properly. The people are wondering how it is happening! It is natural for them to think so. People at times point out that Naveen Patnaik is a big leader, spotless man and go on to ask us why he is tolerating all this,” said Sambalpur MP Nagendra Pradhan.

“No one has questioned me like this. However, they have started expressing their dissatisfaction,” said BJD Vice President and Excise Minister Damodar Rout reacting to Pradhan's comments.

BJD Spokesperson Amar Prasad Satpathy, however, said that the Chief Minister is monitoring all activities and will take a call against the accused politicians at the right time if they are found guilty.

“The Chief Minister is a seasoned politician and has a reputation for the same across the state and beyond. He is aware of all developments. Action will definitely be taken after a proper enquiry, if anyone is found to be involved in any immoral activity,” said Satpathy.
