A gunfight started on Sunday between the security forces and the militants in a village in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, police said.

File Pic: www.freepressjournal.in"Following specific information about the presence of some militants in Ladoo village of Pulwama district near Pampore town, security forces started an operation today (Sunday).
"When a cordon was being laid around the place where militants were reportedly hiding, security forces were fired upon. The security forces retaliated and a gunfight has now started in the area," a senior police officer told IANS here.
"More reinforcements have been rushed to augment the strength of the security forces engaged in the operation," the officer added. (IANS)
