Gynaecology OPD of this Govt hospital shut as 2 doctors test COVID-19 positive

Rourekla:  Authorities of Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH) here today closed the Outpatient Department (OPD) of Obstetrics and  Gynaecology for two days after two doctors of the department tested positive for COVID-19.

Besides, services of the ultrasound department at the hospital have been suspended. Meanwhile, a sanitization drive was carried out at the hospital by the Rourkela Municipal Corporation (RMC) to curb further spread of the virus.

Earlier, two doctors of the hospital were infected by the virus while another has succumbed to the disease.

So far, 2,683 positive cases have been detected in RMC area.  While 2,407 have recovered from the disease, 33 succumbed to the virus.
