Happy B’day Sid Malhotra: First look of ‘Shershaah’ out

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra’s 35th birthday celebration turned more special for him as the first look from his upcoming film ‘Shershaah’ was released today.

The actor who started his career in Bollywood as an assistant director in 2019 with the movie ‘My Name Is Khan’ has successfully completed 10 years in the industry. Sharing exhilaration about his upcoming movie, the ‘Jabariya Jodi’ actor tweeted, “An Absolute honor to be able to paint the big screen with the shades of bravery &sacrifice…”

‘Shershaah’ is a biographical action film about the untold story of the late Captain Vikram Batra, an Indian Army officer who was martyred at the age of 25 in the 1999 Kargil War. Captain Batra was awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his valour in the Kargil War.

The movie is slated to release on July 3, 2020. It is a joint production of Dharma and Pen India Limited that is directed by Vishnuvardhan Kulasekaran. While Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani will be seen in the lead roles, Javed Jaffrey and Paresh Rawal will play other significant characters in the film.

Prior to the poster release of the movie, the Marjaavaan actor on the eve of Army Day on Jan 15, tweeted, “A big salute to all our soldiers for their courage, valour and boundless determination! After interacting with them closely last year I’ve realized that it’s truly the most selfless profession. We can’t thank them enough for everything they do for our country. Jai Hind!”
