Bhubaneswar: Top BJP leaders participated in party's 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign here today on the eve of country's 77th Independence Day.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi and former BJP Odisha President Samir Mohanty were among the leaders joined the padayatra taken out from the Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar.

Holding a 1 km-long tricolour, the BJP leaders and workers took out the march towards Master Canteen to send out the message to Bhubaneswar residents to hoist the national flag at their houses and to uphold national integrity, peace and social harmony.

‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign launched by the Centre under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark India’s independence. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.
