Hardcore criminals Haider, Chagala shifted to other jails after face-off in Odisha

Two hardcore criminals Haider and Chagala were shifted to other jails following face-off at Jharpada jail in Odisha capital yesterday.

While Haider was transferred to Sambalpur jail, Jharpada jail authorities sent Chagala to Dhenkanal jail after they clashed with each other.

According to report, Chagala, an accused in Biranchi Das murder case, was brought to Capital Hospital recently for medical check-up. One of his friends had met him at the hospital. Grabbing the opportunity, he had offered him liquor in soft drink bottle at the hospital. Under influence of alcohol, Chagala started scolding Haider at Jharpada jail. Later, the situation turned uglier and they attacked each other at the jail.

Acting on a tip-off, the jail authorities reached the spot and controlled the situation. They shifted two to different jails to avoid untoward incident.
