In a significant development, Hindustan Copper Ltd (HCL) announced its plans of signing a MoU with National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) shortly to purchase raw materials and consumable items from MSME sector through NSIC.
This announcement was made by K D Diwan CMD, HCL while speaking at the buyer seller meet & ancillary development programme held on the sixth day of Odisha MSME International Trade Fair here today.
The HCL has already placed an order ranging from Rs. 2 – 3 crores to purchase high-chrome grinding media ball for its plants at Rajasthan and MP, added Diwan.
Welcoming the announcement by HCL, NSIC Dy. Zonal General Manager P C Nayak said that NSIC after signing of the MoU, will distribute order to its consortia (around 40 nos) in the state as per their respective capacities.
Asserting that this tie up will boost the MSME sector in the state and open up doors for entrepreneurs to market their product, Nayak said that after signing the agreement with HCL, NSIC will look forward to signing MoUs with MCL, RSP and other PSUs for supplying raw materials and other consumable items on behalf of SME entrepreneurs.
