HDFC Bank ‘Josh Unlimited-2014’ kicks off in Odisha capital

HDFC Bank Ltd launched the 3rd edition of its annual sports competition— Josh Unlimited— for its employees at KIIT University in the Odisha’s capital city today.

hdfc josh unlimitedThe event is a platform for the bank employees to participate in multiple sports such as cricket, football, badminton, throwball, athletics, carom, chess and table tennis among others.

The competition is organised in 25 cities across India.

About 200 HDFC employees and their families from Bhubaneswar and its nearby areas participated in the event which was inaugurated by Debashis Senapati, zonal head, HDFC Bank and Naina Panse, head, Employee Engagement, HDFC Bank, in the presence of senior bank officials.

Josh Unlimited is one of the largest internal employee sports events in the country. Last year, more than 28,000 employees of HDFC Bank participated in the competition held at 15 locations over a period of five months.

Speaking about the event, Panse said, “In its third year, we have taken the event to 25 cities across the country, and we expect more than 30,000 employees from over 300 locations to participate. Through this event employees from different branches and locations come together for a day of friendly competition. Josh Unlimited helps them build team spirit and camaraderie in a more informal setting.”

“I am excited to be a part of Josh Unlimited in Bhubaneswar. Physical activity is an important aspect of our overall health and well-being. I am happy that we have this excellent platform at HDFC Bank, which gives us the opportunity to participate in various sporting events. I hope to see many of my colleagues and their families during the course of this completion,” Senapati said.
