Headmaster arrested for misbehaving with class-X girl in Odisha

Phulbani: Headmaster of a girls high school was today arrested for allegedly misbehaving with a student of class-X here in Odisha’s Kandhamal district.

Kashinath Behera, the accused headmaster of Pakanagaon Girls High School, was also suspended by district Collector Brundha D. A matron of the school was also dismissed on charges of dereliction of duty.

According to reports, the girl student had on March 7 requested the matron to give her a mobile phone to communicate with her parents. However, the matron didn’t pay attention in this regard.

The girl then went to the official quarters of the headmaster who allegedly misbehaved with her while she was using his cell phone. She lodged an FIR against Behera, following which police registered a case and arrested the accused.
