Headmaster hacked to death over property dispute in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj

Gorumahisani: A headmaster was allegedly murdered over property dispute in Gorumahisani area of Mayurbhanj district late last night. The deceased was identified as Sukadeba Marandi (45) and working as Headmaster of Lupungadihi Primary School in neighbouring state Jharkhand.

Initially locals spotted the body of the headmaster in a pool of blood in his farmland near Jamapani village under Gorumahisani police limits.

As per reports, Sukadeba had an argument with his neighbour Madan Murmu and son Lalmohan Murmu over property dispute. The fight turns uglier when the father-son duo attacked Sukadeba with sharp weapons killing him on the spot.

After receiving information, police reached the spot and arrested the two accused and seized the body. The police have registered a murder case at Gorumahisani police station and launched an investigation. Scientific team also visited the spot today morning to collect evidence.
