Heat wave warning issued for 10 Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre today issued heat wave warning for as many as ten districts of Odisha.

Heat wave condition very likely to prevail over some parts of the districts of Bolangir, Kalahandi, Angul, Boudh, Sonepur, Nuapada, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Malkangiri and Sambalpur, the meteorological centre said.

The heat is tolerable for general public but has moderate health concern for infants and elderly persons with chronic diseases, it said and advised such people to stay indoors.

No large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) during next 4-5 days over the districts of Odisha and it will be 40°C or more in many places over the districts of interior Odisha, it forecasted.
