Heat wave warning issued for several Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre today issued heat wave warning for several districts of Odisha till April 1.

Below are key points of the forecast:

* Heat wave condition likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bolangir and Sonepur (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 30.03.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 31.03.2021).

* Heat wave condition likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bolangir, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Angul, Boudh and Kalahandi (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 31.03.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 01.04.2021).

* Heat wave condition likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bolangir, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Angul, Boudh and Kalahandi (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 01.04.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 02.04.2021).

The Meteorological Centre further added that maximum temperature (day temperature) is very likely to rise by 2-3 degree Celsius over the districts of Odisha during the next 2 days and no large change thereafter. Maximum temperature (day temperature) is very likely to be above normal by 2-4 degree Celsius during the next 24 hours and by 3-5 degree Celsius thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha, it predicted.
