Heatwave continues in Odisha; Above 40 degree C in Bhubaneswar by 11:30 AM

Bhubaneswar: Odisha continued to reel under extreme heatwave condition with the mercury crossed 40 degree Celsius in Bhubaneswar by 11:30 AM today.

As per the maximum temperature recorded by the Regional Meteorological Centre of IMD, Bhubaneswar stood at 40.4 degree C by 11.30 am followed by Jharsuguda at 40.2 degree C and Keonjhar 39.2 degree C.

The maximum temperatures in Sambalpur, Hirakud, Chandbali and Balasore recorded 38.6 degree C, 37.4 degree C, 37 degree C and 36.4 degree C respectively during the period.

By 8.30 am, the temperature in Bhubaneswar was 32.6 degree C.
