Heavy rain alert: ‘Yellow warning’ issued to 7 Odisha districts till tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: Strong monsoon current over northwest adjoining westcentral Bay of Bengal has led to prediction of intense thundershower in some parts of Odisha, as per Indian Meteorological Department.

As many as seven districts in the state have been issued yellow warning in the view of the impending spells of rainfall in the state.

According to a special bulletin of the IMD, parts of Bargarh, Bolangir, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Nuapada and Sundergarh are likely to witness heavy rainfall till 8:30 am tomorrow.

Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea along and off Odisha coast during the next 24 hours.
