Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), regional centre today predicted heavy rainfall at various places in six districts of the State in next 48 hours.
As per the weathermen, districts like Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Puri, Ganjam and Khurdha in next two days will experience heavy rain accompanied with thunderstorm following formation of a low pressure over West Bengal and neighbourhood during.
On Friday, rain occurred in Rayagada, Mayurbhanj, Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam, Bhadrak, Sambalpur, Koraput, Gajapati, Balasore, Angul, Kandhamal, Nuapada and Keonjhar districts.
Titlagarh recorded the highest temperature of 34.5 degree Celsius while Hirakud witnessed the lowest 20.5 degree Celsius yesterday.
