Bhubaneswar: Some districts in Odisha may witness heavy rainfall till July 10, predicted the IMD in its weather bulletin today.
According to the IMD, light to moderate rain or thundershower has occurred at most places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha and at many places over the remaining districts of Odisha with very heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Deogarh, Sundargarh, Rayagada, Bhadrak and Gajapati during the last 24 hours.
As per the IMD prediction, heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Bolangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur and Sundargarh while heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Sonepur, Boudh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Rayagada, Nabarangapur, Malkangiri and Koraput by the morning of July 7 (Friday). Similarly, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha by tomorrow morning, said the IMD.
July 7: Heavy Rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Sonepur, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj on July 7. This apart, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha on the day, said the IMD forecast.
July 8: The IMD has predicted heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore on July 8. Besides, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha on the day, said the IMD.
July 9: According to the forecast, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Nabarangapur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj on July 9. Similarly, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha on the day, added the IMD.
July 10: One or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangapur, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara may witness heavy rainfall on July 10. Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha on the day.
