Heavy rain to lash Odisha in next 24 hours

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre here today predicted that heavy rain accompanied with thunderstorm is likely to lash various places in 10 districts across the State in next 24 hours.

As per the weathermen, heavy rain will occur in one or two places in   districts including Rayagada, Kalahandi, Boudh, Sambalpur, Nabarangpur, Koraput, Malkangiri, Ganjam and Gajapati. The Met department has also issued lightning alert for these districts.

On Sunday, Chandbali recorded highest temperature of 35.6 degree Celsius while Sundergarh witnessed lowest temperature of 21.0 degree Celsius.

Rain occurred in Nabarangpur, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Sonepur, Malkangiri, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Dhenkanal,Jajpur, Bargarh and Bolangir yesterday.
