Heavy rain warning for these Odisha districts for next 5 days

Bhubaneswar: Even as the southwest monsoon has been subdued over Odisha, several places in the State are likely to experience thunderstorm and heavy rain in next five days.

Thunderstorm with lightning may occur in as any as 19 districts in next five days in the State, according to an IMD bulletin issued by Bhubaneswar MeT today. 

Here’re districts that will witness thunderstorm and heavy rain today and next four days:

Day 1 (valid from 1.30 pm today till tomorrow morning) : Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada and Khordha. 

Day 2 (Sept 9 morning till Sept 10 morning) : Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore,
Bhadrak, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur,
Kendrapara, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh,
Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal,
Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Puri, Nayagarh, Koraput,
Rayagada.

On this day, heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the district of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Balasore.

Day 3 (Sept 10 morning till Sept 11 morning) : Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nawarangpur, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj.

Day 4 (Sept 11 morning till Sept 12 morning) : Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangpur, Nuapada, Bolangir, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

Day 5 (Sept 12 morning till Sept 13 morning) : Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the district of Malkangiri, Koraput, and Nabarangpur.
