Bhubaneswar: Even as the southwest monsoon has been subdued over Odisha, heavy rainfall is on the cards for several districts from Thursday.
According to regional meteorological centre in Bhubaneswar, heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the district of Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Nayagarh, Angul, Khordha, Sambalpur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Balangir, Bargarh and Sonepur between July 18 and 20.
Meanwhile, the thunderstorm is likely to lash several districts from today.
Tunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kandhamal, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khordha, Puri, Keonjhar, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Gajapati and Boudh from today till tomorrow morning, the Bhubaneswar Met said in its mid-day bulletin.
Similarly, the thunderstorm warning has been issued for the districts included Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Kendrapada, Kandhamal, Ganjam, and Sundergarh between July 16 and 17.
