Bhubaneswar: Due to the prevalent monsoon trough, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places in 14 districts of Odisha during next 24 hours. India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre today issued Yellow Warning in some districts of the State for next five days.
In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD regional centre mentioned, “A cyclonic circulation lies over west-central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal (BoB) and extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level. Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha.”
A fresh low pressure area is likely to form over Northwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal off south Odisha-north Andhra Pradesh around 24th July.
The highest maximum (day) temperature of 34.2oC was recorded at Cuttack and the lowest minimum (night) temperature of 22.4oC was recorded at Nuapada in the plains of Odisha.
