Bhubaneswar: Due to the prevalent monsoon trough, Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places in six districts of Odisha during next 24 hours. India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre today issued Yellow Warning in some districts for next five days.
In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD regional centre mentioned, “The Well Marked Low Pressure Area over south Odisha adjoining north Andhra Pradesh and neighbourhood has weakened into a Low Pressure Area over south Odisha and adjoining north Coastal Andhra Pradesh and the associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 Km above mean sea level. The Monsoon Trough at mean sea level now passes through Bikaner, Kota, Raisen, Durg, centre of Low Pressure Area over south Odisha and adjoining north Coastal Andhra Pradesh and thence east-southeastwards to Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and extends up to 1.5 Km above mean sea level.”
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Interior Odisha and at many places over the districts of Coastal Odisha.
The highest maximum temperature of 34.2oC was recorded at Jharsuguda and the lowest minimum temperature of 23.0oC was recorded at Nabarangpur in the plains of Odisha.
