Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to experience heavy rainfall as a low pressure area has formed over the Bay of Bengal.

"Under the influence of cyclonic circulation over northwest & adjoining westcentral Bay of Bengal, a Low Pressure Area has formed over Northwest Bay of Bengal off north Odisha coast. Associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 5.8 km above mean sea level. It is likely to move northwestwards during next 2 days," the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said today.

The agency has issued rainfall warning for Odisha till June 30.

Below is day-wise forecast in this regard.

June 28: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Khurda, Puri, Balasore, Jajpur, Cuttack, Bolangir, Nuapada, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Koraput and heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, and Bhadrak.

June 29: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal and heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Sundargarh.

June 30: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, and Keonjhar.
