Heavy rains: Holiday declared for schools in Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack: The district administration today declared holiday for schools in Cuttack due to heavy rains that lashed the city this morning.

The move came in view of the heavy rainfall in the past two days triggered flood like situation in the district.

Notably, the incessant rain under influence of low pressure formed over the Bay of Bengal lashed the city and parts of Cuttack.

The normal life was disrupted in the morning due to waterlogging caused by heavy rains. The commuters and passengers inside buses and auto rickshaws stuck mid way due to knee-deep water flowing on the roads.
