Hefty fine imposed on tractor owner in Odisha for violating MV Act

Sambalpur: A tractor owner was imposed hefty fine amount for violating rules under new Motor Vehicles (MV) Act in Odisha.

The owner of vehicle was identified as Cheru Dhan, a resident of Parudabhadi under Kuchinda police limits in Sambalpur. He was fined Rs 22,500 for using vehicle without valid documents.

Sambalpur RTO issued challan against Dhan and driver Radhashyam Dhan.

As per the fine amount mentioned in the challan, the tractor owner was slapped with Rs 5000 fine for using vehicle without registration and fitness, Rs 500 for general offence, Rs 5000 for allowing person to drive vehicle without valid driving licence, Rs 10,000 for using vehicle without permit or violating permit conditions and Rs 2000 for plying without insurance.
