Helpdesk opens for voters in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has opened a helpdesk for carrying out corrections in the voter list in the capital city here.

People can visit the helpdesk at the BMC office here for correction of any mistakes or anomalies with regard to their names, address, ward and any other details in the voter list, said an official of the civic body.

The helpdesk will also assist youngsters, born before October 1, 2006, to register themselves as new voters.

“The youngsters, who have completed 17 years, can visit the helpdesk to register themselves as new voters. The registration will be done in both online and offline mode,” said a notice issued by the Khurda district administration.

The BMC will prepare a new voter list for the year 2024 at its office from November 27 to December 8. The work will be done in between 10 am and 5 pm on all working days, said BMC Assistant Commissioner N Ganesh Babu.
