Here’re details of 129 new COVID-19 cases in Odisha
Bhubaneswar: Odisha registered highest single-day spike of 129 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours taking total count to 1948, informed State Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department today.
A total of 4641 samples was tested on Saturday of which 129 came out positive in from 19 districts. While 119 cases are reported from different quqrantine centres, 10 are local contacts. With this, the total number of active cases surged to 889.
According to State Health & Family Welfare Department, 1050 patients have recovered from COVID and the fatality number remains at 7 so far.
Of 129 fresh cases, Kendrapara reported the highest number of 18 cases followed by Gajapati (16), Nuapada (12) and Balangir (11). The red zones Ganjam and Jajpur districts reported 10 cases each. The remaining positive cases came from Khordha (7), Sundergarh (6), Balasore (6), Bargarh (6), Mayurbhanj (6), Cuttack (5), Puri (4), Deogarh (4), Keonjhar (3), Jagatsinghpur (2), Malkangiri (1), Dhenkanal (1) and Sambalpur (1).
