Here’re details of 67 new COVID-19 positive cases in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha today reported 67 fresh cases of COVID-19 taking total count to 1336, of which 832 are active so far. According to State Health & Family Welfare Department, out of new 67 cases, 60 are in quarantine centres, 4 in home quarantine and 3 are locals.

Total number of 5388 samples were tested on Saturday of which 67 samples were found positive for novel coronavirus. The test results showed that Puri district registered highest number of 16 cases today followed by Nayagarh district (13).  Ganjam and Balangir districts have 7 new corona positive cases each following sample tests conducted on May 23.  Similarly, Angul district reported new 6 COVID cases, Sundargarh 4, Kalahandi 4, Khordha 3, Cuttack 2,  Malkangiri 2, Jagatsinghpur 1 and Dhenkanal 1.

Nuapada district made debut in the list of COVID-hit districts with a fresh case. According to Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department, the person tested positive for COVID-19 is a Maharashtra returnee. With this, 27 districts out of 30 in Odisha have been infected with the deadly virus so far.
