Here’re details of 76 new COVID cases in Odisha
Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in Odisha surged to 1593 with 76 fresh positive cases were reported today, informed State Health & Family Welfare Department.
A total number of 4679 samples were tested on Tuesday, of which 76 samples have been confirmed positive in 10 districts. While 74 samples were found positive in quarantine centres, 2 cases are local contacts. With this, the number of active cases in Odisha now stands at 853 and 733 patients have recovered so far.
Of 76 cases, the highest of 16 were reported from western Odisha Balangir district followed by Khordha and Nuapada that have 13 positive cases each.
While 11 cases were reported from Cuttack, Ganjam registered 10 fresh cases, Jagatsinghpur 6, Balasore, Sundargarh and Nayagarh 2 each and a single case was reported from Mayurbhanj district.
