Here’re details of new COVID-19 cases in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar:  Of the 23 persons tested positive in Khordha district in the last 24 hours,  13 have been reported from Bhubaneswar, said Health and Family Welfare Department.

Of the 13 cases, seven were under home quarantine while remaining six are local contacts. The six local contacts include  one each from Dumduma, Salia Sahi, Aiginia and Laxmisagar areas and two from Unit- IV area.

The seven home quarantine cases are-

-1 case from Patrapada area with history of Delhi 

-2 cases of New Forest Park area with travel history of Delhi

-1 case of Laxmisagar area with travel history of Delhi

-1 case of Tankapani Road area with travel history of Jharkhand 

-1 case of Chintamaniswar area with travel history of Maharashtra

-1 case of Old Town area with travel history of West Bengal

With this, the number of active cases in the state capital rose to 81, including 27 active cases. While 51 patients have recovered here, three succumbed to the virus so far, the department added.

In Cuttack, 23 tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, of which 20 from rural Cuttack belonging to Narsinghpur, Badamba and Nischintakoili blocks. Remaining three cases belong to Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) area.

Details of the the 3 cases of CMC area:

-One from Deulasahi,contact of a positive case

-One from Siddheswar Sahi, contact of a positive case, symptomatic

-One was under paid quarantine, travel history & symptomatic.

“All the patients have been shifted to Ashwini COVID Hospital. Contact tracing and followup action is underway,” said the CMC.
