Bhubaneswar: Of the 65 fresh COVID-19 positive cases reported in Odisha this morning, 62 were lodged in different quarantine centres following their return from various states like Gujarat, West Bengal and Jharkhand. And, the remaining two patients were under home quarantine, informed Health and Family Welfare Department.
The fresh cases are from Jajpur (31), Ganjam (13), Cuttack (6), Kendrapada (4), Puri (4), Khordha (3), Mayurbhanj (2)
and Nayagarh (2).
Here’re the patients’ details:
Surat returnees
Kendrapada: 4 ( 3 from Marsaghai block and one from Mahakalapada)
Ganjam : 12
Mayurbhanj: 2
Nayagarh: 2
Khordha 1:
(All were lodged in different quarantine centres)
West Bengal returnees
Jajpur: 30
Khordha: 1
Puri: 4
(All were staying in quarantine centres)
Ahmadabad returnees
Cuttack: 6 (All were in quarantine centres)
Jharkhand returnee
Jajpur : 1 (He was quarantined at a TMC )

With this, the total number of confirmed cases in the state surged to 737, including 568 active cases while the number of recovered patients now stands at 166. So far, three persons have died due to the respiratory disease in the state.
