Here’re traffic regulations in Odisha’s Puri for Ratha Jatra

Puri: The district police has imposed traffic regulation in Odisha’s Puri town for smooth movement and parking of vehicles on the day of Ratha Jatra.

Here are details:

* All inter-state tourist buses from Bhubaneswar side will be allowed to Puri up to Malatipatpur and parked at Malatipatpur New Bus Stand. The return will be in the same route.

* All light vehicles/three wheelers/four wheelers coming from Bhubaneswar side on NH-316 will be allowed to reach the parking place at Talabania via Malatipatpur-ROB-Toshali Chowk-Grid Station-Bhudan. The return route is via ITI crossing-Central School-Grid Station-Balighat-Gopalpur Crossing-Samangara-Biraharekrushnapur-Malatipatapur.

* All light vehicles with car pass from Bhubaneswar side will be allowed to proceed to the specified parking place i.e at Gadadhar High School via Malatipatapur-Biraharekrushnapur Chwok-Charinala-Atharanala-Hospital Crossing-VIP Road-Subas Boss Chwok-Hans Coco Palm crossing-Lokanath road-Brushav Chowk. The return to Bhubaneswar will be via Lokanath Road-Hans Coco Palm-Sterline road-via Omkareswar Temple-Mangalahat-Batagaon-Malatipatapur.

* All two wheelers from Bhubaneswar side will be parked at specified parking place at Jagannath Ballava, Masani Chandi Chowk, Old Jail parking place via Malatipatapur-Batagaon-Mangalahat-Masani Chandi-Devighat. The return will be via Jatia Baba Chowk-Kumbharapada-Atharanala-Charinala-Malatipatapur.

* Two wheelers from Brahmagiri side will also be parked at Jagannath Ballava via Masani Chandi Chowk. Their return will be in the same route. Two wheelers from Konark side will be parked at Sri Jagannath Sanskrit Sansthan via Grid Station-Bhudan-ITI crossing. Their return route will be via ITI crossing-Central School-Grid Station.

*Auto Rickshaw: From Talabania to Ram Mandir Chowk via Sadar Block-Odisha Bakery-Ram Mandir. Return will be via Srikhetra colony road.

* Three wheelers from Brahmagiri side will be allowed up to Flourish India and will be parked there. The return will be in the same route. Light vehicles from Konark side will be allowed to Puri, Talabania via Grid station-Bhudan-ITI and their return will be via ITI crossing-Central school-Bhudan-Grid Station-Toshali.
