High drama after Junior Engineer caught with ‘other woman’ in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A Junior Engineer (JE) of Turekela block in Bolangir district of Odisha landed in trouble over his alleged extramarital affair.

The JE’s wife has lodged a complaint against him at Udala Police Station in Mayurbhanj district.

As per the complaint, JE Golak Bihari Marandi has been involved in an extramarital affair with a woman from Machhia village under Kaptipada police limits since last many days.

“I came to know about my husband’s extramarital affair just two months after our wedding in 2018. I raised the issue with my in-laws but to no avail. My husband was found with the woman in a room yesterday (Sunday) night. He tried to flee the spot but the villagers caught him,” said Marandi’s wife in her complaint.

The complainant has sought maintenance from the JE. “I do not want to live with my husband anymore. Therefore, I urged the administration to take the necessary steps so that I can get maintenance for me and my two daughters,” added Marandi’s wife.
