Bhubaneswar: A woman reportedly tried to stop the convoy of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi in Odisha capital here to protest against the traffic blockade for passing of the VVIP carcade.

The incident took place in Rasulgarh area of the city in the afternoon.

The police blocked the traffic on a stretch between Rasulgarh and Vani Vihar Square for passing of the Chief Minister’s convoy.

To protest the traffic blockade, the woman came to the middle of the road and tried to stop the CM’s carcade. However, the police swung into action and took away the woman, facilitating the smooth passing of the Chief Minister’s convoy.

The woman reportedly sought to know from the cops regarding the reason behind the traffic blockade for long period.

The cops have launched a probe into the incident.
