Bhubaneswar, Mar 9:
High pressure over Bay of Bengal and cyclonic circulation over north Odisha, Jharkhand and gangetic West Bengal are likely to trigger rainfall in north Odisha and some coastal districts till March 11, the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre said.
Under the combined influence of the high pressure and cyclonic circulation, Balasore, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Jajpur and Deogarh districts are likely to experience more rainfall till March 11.
Similarly, showers are likely to occur at some places in Cuttack, Khordha, Nayagarh and Balangir districts.
The intensity of the rainfall would decrease after March 12.
On the other hand, the local meteorological centre predicted that thundersquall accompanied with hail and gusty surface wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Keonjhar, Bhadrak and Jajpur from 02.45 pm to 06.45 pm today.
