Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education department of Odisha today issued a timeline for admission into various postgraduate (PG) courses in public universities and colleges in the state for the academic session of 2023-24.
The admissions will be done through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS), said an official of the Higher Education department.
“Any changes in the timeline will be informed to the students through newspapers and SAMS website (www.samsodisha.gov.in),” added the official.
As per the timeline, the Higher Education department will publish the subject-wise and state-wide merit list for PG admissions at 2 pm on July 20.
The eligible students will fill their choices for institutes from July 20 to 23.
The Higher education department will publish the provisional allotment of seats for first round of selection at 2 pm on July 28.
The eligible students will pay the admission fees through SAMS portal from 10 am on July 29 to 11.45 pm on July 31.
They will report to the allotted institutes for admission from 9 am on July 31 to 5 pm on August 2, said the official.
All information regarding the students enrolled through the first round selection will be updated to the websites of the respective institutions by 7 pm on August 2.
The Higher Education department will publish the provisional allotment of seats for second round selection at 2 pm on August 7.
The eligible students will pay the admission fees through the SAMS portal from August 8 to August 10 (11.45 pm). The students will report to the allotted institutions for admissions from 9 am on August 9 to 5 pm on August 11, said the official.
The Higher Education department may publish the provisional allotment of seats for third, fourth, fifth and sixth round of selection in accordance with the vacant seats at the public universities and colleges in Odisha. The admission process will be completed by 5 pm on September 21, added the official.
