Hindi teacher in Odisha Vigilance net for acquiring disproportionate assets

Bhubaneswar/Berhampur: A Hindi teacher landed in Vigilance net on allegations of acquiring assets disproportionate to known sources of his income.

The Vigilance officials of Berhampur division raided the houses of Bhubanananda Sahu, the Hindi teacher of Jashoda High School, Jhadankuli under Rangeilunda Block in Ganjam district, at different locations in Berhampur, Bhubaneswar and Puri town.

The simultaneous searches are being conducted at his residential house at Baikunthanagar in Berhampur, another house at Baikunthanagar, a four-storey building at Brahmanagar in Berhampur, one shop at Nimakhandi in Berhampur, a rented house at Kalpana Square in Bhubaneswar, one 3BHK flat at Sundarpada in Bhubaneswar, one 1BHK flat at Puri Town, office at Jashoda High School, a house at native place Chikiti in Ganjam district, one private school run by his family members near Chikiti, official source said today.

His total movable and immovable assets will be calculated after searches.
