Hirakud dam closes all gates; water level steady

Bhubaneswar: Hirakud dam authorities closed all the sluice gates to keep water level maintained here in Odisha’s Sambalpur district.

Currently, the water level of the reservoir stands at 629.95 ft, which is steady today, against total storage capacity of 630 ft.

Meanwhile, the water level at Rengali dam is falling with 123.16 metre, whereas the full reservoir level is 123.50 metre. The gates of the dam are also closed.
