Hockey WC: Mobile app now to help you navigate Kalinga Stadium

Bhubaneswar: To facilitate visitors at the Kalinga Stadium during the Odisha Men’s Hockey World Cup -2018, BhuNav, a new mobile application, has been launched to navigate various places inside the stadium complex.

The way-finding mobile app would provide directions on a map for various places inside the stadium complex. The App has a built-in navigation system similar to Google Maps to help users find points of interest (POIs) or people inside buildings.

Developed for Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited (BSCL) and Hockey Federation of India by IT major Honeywell, BhuNav would help visitors navigate the 5,000 square yards stadium, said an official.

The app can help citizens find points of interest like FAN village, parking, restrooms, food stalls, entry and exit points, etc. The app has features like real-time location sharing and offline navigation.

“In future, the new app would help the citizens connect with museums and various government facilities across the city,” said an official.

The mobile app is available on both Android and iOS platforms.
