Holi drowning deaths: Bodies of two missing students recovered from Odisha’s Gopalpur sea

Berhampur: Police recovered bodies of two missing students, who drowned in Gopalpur sea while taking bath after Holi celebrations, from the beach this morning.

The bodies of students identified as Lokesh and Hitesh.

Police recovered the bodies with help of Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) team and local fishermen.

According to reports, one youth had drowned and two others were missing while taking bath in Gopalpur sea after Holi celebrations on March 2. The deceased was identified T Sidharth Patra.

The three were the students of Binayak Acharya College and Presidency College in Berhampur.

Police said that the youths were taking bath at River Mouth instead of the beach. They suggested people to have bath at sea beach in non-current site as it will be easy for lifeguards to save them.
