Hostel fees of engineering students waived off in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Hostel fees of students of engineering colleges, technical, and polytechnic institutes in Odisha have been waived off.

The fees from April 2020 to December 2020 were waived off. It will benefit around 17000 hostel boarders.

A decision in this regard was taken by the Skill Development and Technical Education Department of the Odisha Government as the students were not staying in the hostels during the period due to the COVID-19 situation.

Earlier, hostel fees of government ITI students of the state for nine months were waived off. Around 30,000 ITI students of the state were benefited with the move.
