Hostels of colleges, universities in Odisha to reopen from February 6

Bhubaneswar: Hostels of colleges and universities across Odisha, which were closed due to the sharp rise in COVID-19 cases in the state, will reopen from February 6, informed Higher Education Department today.

Classroom teaching and other academic activities in physical mode shall start in universities and colleges from February 7, it said.

Classroom teaching and other academic activities in physical mode shall start in universities and colleges (under the administrative control of Higher Education Department) from Monday, the 7th February’2022. Hostels will be opened from 6th February.

The state government had yesterday announced regarding reopening of schools, colleges and universities from February 7 with adherence to COVID-19 protocols.

While classroom teaching at colleges, universities and schools (for students of class-8 and above) will resume from February 7, the same for students of KG to class-7 will begin from February 14.

Short-term training and skill development training centres will also reopen from February 7.
