One of the common questions that arise is, how do you get into IIT Bhubaneswar? It is one of the most competitive colleges to get into. There are specific criteria one must meet to complete their application for admission. The two standard exams you are supposed to give are JEE (Main and Advanced), and they are your stepping stones for IIT.

Prepare and appear for JEE (Main):

The first thing you have to do for your IIT application is prepared for JEE (Main). The exam is organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam is conducted twice a year, in January and April. You can appear for both the dates and the one with the higher score will be considered your final merit. If you are happy with the first score, you don’t have to sit again.

Prepare for JEE (Advanced):

You can appear for JEE (Advanced) only if you score the minimum required JEE score(Main). You have, overall, two attempts for JEE (Advanced). The paper majorly focuses on three subjects, including Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, and students are required to complete the form in three hours.

For Engineering:

Obtain your All India Rank (AIR):

If you have appeared for both of your JEE exams and secured a minimum of 35% overall, then and only then will you be getting your AIR. Once you have given both the JEE exams and have an AIR, you can apply to IIT colleges across India. AIR is essential; this rank will determine your location. Higher ranks will allow you the location preference, whereas as the rank goes down, other IIT college seats are given out. Popular locations include Bombay, Kota, Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, Madras, and Delhi.

The students who have cleared only JEE (Main) can apply to other engineering colleges.

For Architecture:

Appear for an Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT):

Once you clear your JEE and get your AIR, you need to appear for AAT, and once you clear the exam with a decent score, you can make your application. You need to clear JEE (Advanced) to appear for AAT.
