Howrah-SSPN Express to be partially cancelled & Prashanti Express to run on diverted route

Bhubaneswar: In view of safety-related modernisation works in connection with the rehabilitation of the unlined portion of Tunnel and Bridges between Satya Sai Prashanti Nilayam and Basampalle railway stations in South Western Railway (SWR) jurisdiction, the Howrah-SSPN Express will be partially cancelled and Prashanti Express will run on diverted route for a period of two months.

This was informed today by a spokesperson of the South Western Railway.

Accordingly, 22831/22832 Howrah-Satya Sai Prashanti Nilayam (SSPN)-Howrah Express from Howrah on every Wednesday from 6th December 2023 to 7th February 2024 and from SSPN on every Friday from 8th December 2023 to 9th February 2024 will be partially cancelled between Dharmavaram and SSPN from both the directions.

Similarly, 18464/18463 Bengaluru-Bhubaneswar-Bengaluru Prashanti Express from Bengaluru from 8th December 2023 to 8th February 2024 and from Bhubaneswar from 7th December 2023 to 7th February 2024 will run on diverted route Penukonda-Nagasamudram-Dharmavaram from both the directions.
