The annual High School Certificate (HSC) Examinations went on smoothly on the first day in Odisha’s Sundargarh district barring incidence of malpractices at some centres.

As informed by District Education Officer (DEO), Dhurba Charan Behera, the district level squad during a surprise raid, booked 27 students for malpractice at some centres.
Out of a total of 27492 students appearing the examinations in 124 centres in the district, 26390 are of Regular and 927 ex-Regular streams.
The DEO also informed that the question papers and answer sheets are kept under tight security at 19 nodal centres in the district.
