Sonepur: Huge cache of ganja was seized from a car which plunged into a canal on Subarnapur-Binika road in Odisha's Sonepur district, today.

Acting on a tip-off about the illegal transportation of ganja in the vehicle, a team of Excise Department chased and intercepted the vehicle near Sansamura Chhak this morning, during which the car plunged into a canal.

While the driver of the car fled the spot, an occupant of the vehicle has been arrested. The car was seized and further investigation is underway.
