Huge cache of ganja seized in Odisha; 2 arrested

Bhubaneswar: Continuing its crackdown on illegal trade of Ganja, the Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch today busted a racket and seized a huge cache of cannabis weighing 119 kg in Dharamgarh area of Kalahandi district yesterday .

Acting on reliable information, the STF conducted a raid and arrested two persons in this connection besides seizing the contraband item.

The two arrested are Tirtharaj Sagar of Gurubazar in Dharmagarh and Chandrasen Meher of Baladiamal in Junagarh of the district.

A case has been registered at Dharmagarh police station under Sections 20 (b) (ii) (c) and 29 of the NDPS Act 1985. Further investigation is on in this connection.
